Back in 2008, I volunteered to design a t-shirt for a church in Tokyo. I proposed 3 ideas, and this one (TBC t-shirt) was chosen. And as usual, I had long forgotten about the other two ideas until just recently.

There is a project, which I participate time to time. It is about sharing your expression of randomly chosen words in any form you like, such as a poem, a picture, a motion, an illustration, a photo and etc... The keyword is chosen every week, and the last week's was "a light source."  I didn't want to come up with something too common like a sun or a light bulb. Just then, I remembered one of the t-shirt designs.

"A light source..." yeah, this is it.

I've attached the text, "Genesis 1-3: God said “Let there be light,” and there was light," with it, just so that people would know what this illustration was all about. I was glad to be able to bring this out for a project and instead of being forgotten forever.

2008年、とある教会のためにTシャツデザインをしたことがある。3つのアイディアを提案し、そのうちの１つがTシャツ化された後、他の二つのアイディアの存在を案の定すっかり忘れてしまっていた。ところが最近、このTシャツデザインを思い出すきっかけがあった。

 そのきっかけとは、”１つのキーワードから連想されるアイディアを様々な表現方法でアウトプットする”という企画で、今回のキーワードは「光源」だった。電球とか太陽とか、誰もが連想できそうなものは提出したくないな・・・と思っていたところで思い出したのが、ボツ案となって忘れていたTシャツデザインの１つ（上記イラスト参照）。イラストが気に入っていて、3年前のあの時、内心こちらのデザインを選んでほしかったのが正直なところだったので、こんな形で世の中に出せてうれしい限りである。
